Famous for its crystal-clear turquoise water and sheltered bay, Meelup Beach is one of the South West's most photographed locations. The combination of granite rocks, native trees and calm shoreline makes it perfect for relaxed family portraits.
Eagle Bay

The Best Time to Book Your Session
Golden hour—the hour before sunset—is my favourite time to photograph families.
The light is soft, warm and flattering, creating the beautiful golden glow that the South West is famous for. It's also cooler during summer, making it much more comfortable for young children.
If you're holidaying during peak periods such as the Christmas school holidays, Easter or the September school break, I recommend booking your session well in advance, as these dates fill quickly.
What Should You Wear?
The South West's natural landscapes photograph beautifully with soft, earthy colours.

What If Our Kids Don't Cooperate?
This is probably the question I hear most often—and the answer is simple: they don't need to!
My sessions are relaxed and child-led. There's no expectation for little ones to stand still or smile perfectly at the camera.
Instead, we play games, explore the beach, collect shells, run through the dunes and enjoy the moment together. Some of the most treasured photographs happen in between the posed moments—the giggles, cuddles and spontaneous laughter that tell your family's story.
