What a lovely couple Rohanne and Tim are. I was lucky enough to be asked to help them capture their special day earlier in June.
There was a beautiful service held at Ro and Tim's home, followed by a beautiful lunch for the guests.
After the ceremony we snuck away to get some photos of the couple in some near by bushland only a few hundred metres down the road. I am so happy with how they turned out.
This beautiful little family joined me for an Autumn Mini session a few weeks ago. Renae brought her three beautiful children, Jarrah, Banjo and Archie. oh they were so photogenic!
I have fallen in love with these photos and it has just reminded me how much I love this time of year. Starting to get cosy by the fire and with all the beautiful foliage around in the Southern Highlands.
These fun engagement photos of this lovely couple were taken at the Groom's, Uncle's property in Thirlmere which had amazing gardens and foliage for us to walk around and use in the images.
Amber and Matt are lucky enough to be holding the wedding at the property in September and this was our trial run. We had lots of fun laughing at Matt eh cheeky Groom to be.
Would you believe we had just finished taking our shots when a massive afternoon storm rolled in.
What a gorgeous wedding it was between the lovely Jessi and Jason. The weather was absolutely superb and so was the company.
The beautiful Bride Jessi was super clever and handmade so many elements of the day, which tied everything together beautifully.
I was lucky to shoot this wedding on Jessi's parent's property in Murrumbateman and wow I am blown away by the result xxx
Saturday was the most perfect and beautiful day to celebrate the marriage of this beautiful couple Jess and Ian, and their gorgeous little family. The sun was shining and the energy and happiness that came from these two was amazing.
The Bride found a cute little area to get our Bridal party shots and they have turned out awesome!!! Just a reflection of how awesome the day really was.
I had the best time working this wedding and being able to capture the day for two lovely families.
I had a lovely to visit a beautiful property last week in Berrima to shoot the lovely Phil and Bailee's engagement shoot. We had a ball with their gorgeous pup Darwin, who had the best time climbing trees, tormenting the horse and chewing on sticks.
Looking forward to photographing their wedding : )
One of my favourite shots to capture on the wedding day, is the engagement ring itself or the two wedding bands together. This is such an important detail I believe you can not miss!
I have always love photographing in macro and this gives me a chance to do just that and get creative.
On your wedding day ask your photographer to capture the small details like your rings, on your bouquet, with your perfume bottle or cologne, or in in your hands. There are so many ways this can be achieved and capture those special moments from your big day.
Here are some of my ring shots from past weddings. Hope you like them : )
Today I was lucky enough to have the pleasure to photograph the lovely Mandy and Paul, whose wedding I will be photographing in early February.
These two were such a fun couple to shoot! I really enjoyed working with them today as they had a laugh during our shoot together. So easy to capture the love that they have for one another.
We made our way down to Blundell's Cottage in Canberra, a beautiful heritage listed building alongside Lake Burley Griffin. There were so many nice spots to choose from.
Can't wait for the wedding !
So your big day is fast approaching and you are finalising everything with your wedding vendors for most important day in your life, Confirming everything with your photographer.
It is really important to discuss with your photographer what images you want to capture for your special day, as well as what will be captured by the photographer. I myself love it when clients come to me with ideas and their wish list for shots that they are after. After all they are paying me and I want them to be happy with the service that I am offering them.
If you are not sure what images are MUST HAVE images for your wedding day I have compiled a list here that you can discuss with your photographer.

Why I Came a Photographer
I started thinking today, about a pretty fundamental question about how Emma Marie Photography came to be. Why did I become a photographer? What is it about this industry that drew me in? You might ask is it the money? Is it a more flexible job? While it is partly these things that drew me to work in this industry, there is another reason, the main reason why I became a photographer. To put it in simple terms it makes me super happy!!!
Every time I pick up my camera, this rush comes over me and I get all excited as I begin seeing shots that I can take. On my way to a shoot my head is usually filling up with awesome, crazy ideas for poses and shots for my clients. This my friends is what brings a smile to my face. It may sound super cliché, but it really does excite me.
When the shoot is over and I have edited my client’s gallery, I love the anticipation until they have seen those images and tell me how happy they are with them. This brings the biggest, jaw numbing smile to my face every time. In that moment I think to myself this is it, this is why I became a photographer. My love for something, can make people so happy, while capturing a moment in time, which will then last forever.
Hi I'm Emma the owner and operator of Emma Marie Photography. You might be wanting to know a little bit about who is behind the camera, well here is a little bit about me..
